Half Term Activities

Looking for activities to keep the little ones happy this Half Term?

The Biner Bakery runs workshops for 5-12 year olds on Wednesdays during Half Term.  They can get your hands dirty so you don’t have to!

Also on Wednesdays you can visit the Julen family’s sheepfold of blacknose sheep.  Parents can enjoy a glass of wine whilst the shepherds explain all about these sheep, native to Zermatt. You can also arrange to visit the sheep in the summer time and the Julen family have even kitted out their fluffy friends with GPS trackers, so you can find them on the mountain. There’s even a “Meet the Sheep” themed trail in Zermatt where you can explore the mountain on foot, and find out exactly why the people of Valais  keep the blacknose sheep? And what happens to their soft, woolly fleeces.. only Zermatt has the answer!

If you have never tried tobogganing in Zermatt, it’s well worth it, both for children and adults; the runs to Riffelberg, from Furi and in Täsch are well marked, and at Furi you can combined the outdoor fun with a fondue in a cosy mountain restaurant beforehand. If you’re looking for further details of this and other activities, please do get in touch, we’d love to help make your holiday special.
