In last few weeks have seen regular snowfall across the Alps and in particular in Zermatt. We now have over 2.5m of snow base and looks like wall to wall sunshine for the next few days!
We have been pretty busy in the ski school; when not on the piste teaching or training. Additionally we have been watching the Swatch Skiers Cup, with the likes of Seth Morrison and Sverre Liliequist gracing our slopes (and the off piste, thanks to our amazing snowfall and snow cover) with their excellent and very exciting presence; check out Sverre’s backflip over the Gornergrat train!
We’ve also been running a series of biomechanics lectures for other ski instructors in Zermatt, if you would like to know about any of the material covered in the lectures or would be interested in further information on our Diamonds Training Centre Courses, let us know.
Rowena has been away in Kühtai on the GB Ski Test, testing next season’s skis for the Ski Club of Great Britain. The inside track is that there is a new range of excellent all mountain skis, particularly for those interesting in some touring, along with a great new range of womens‘ piste skis and in the mens‘ range there are some great freeride skis!
March looks set to be a great month, with great snow, and lots of sunshine, we hope you have the chance to enjoy it here!
