Some good news from the Italian side of Alplink; the lift project that will see the ski areas of Zermatt, Cervinia, Alagna and Gressoney link together.
During the summer, the regions involved in the project were asked for approval of the construction of the new lift, that would start in the Cime Bianche Valley and link Valtournenche with the rest of the Monte Rosa ski areas.

The final obstacle was in Ayas, one of the towns involved in the project. The local mayor, Giorgio Munari, decided to hold a referendum, and with 80 per cent voting in favour of the new lift, the last hurdle has now been cleared.
